Community Development Financial Institutions Fund
Bob Ibanez is the manager of the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program and Bank Enterprise Award (BEA) Program at the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI Fund). In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the management of tax credit allocations to community development entities (CDEs) and monetary awards to FDIC-insured financial institutions around the country that are dedicated to financing and supporting community and economic development activities. Before joining the CDFI Fund, Mr. Ibanez managed a private consulting practice specializing in business planning, capital acquisition and formation, financial management, and organizational assessments for nonprofit, community development organizations. While working as a consultant, he also served as an application reviewer for the CDFI Fund. His prior experience also includes serving as a senior loan and investment officer for Neighborhood Housing Services of America, vice president for the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City-Boston Advisors, associate director for internal consulting for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation and as a former VISTA Volunteer. Mr. Ibanez received his master’s degree in management from American College and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
